25. Room 9 Baking – Weetbix Slices

Hola, Reader!!!!!

Today I will be telling you about the baking we are doing. A few weeks ago we had to write about our favorite dish and put it on our blog, and Whaea Lorrainde said to us that she wanted to do some baking. She said we were going to bake last week, but there were some people who weren’t doing the right thing and weren’t listening. We had 3 fingers, and every time someone would talk over Whaea Lorraine or someone’s attitude wasn’t right, we couldn’t go make it anymore. Once we got to 0, everyone was upset, and everyone was sad and angry because we couldn’t go bake the Weet-Bix slices. Whaea Lorraine said to us we were going to go back next week on Tuesday, and it is the next week after last week, and it is Tuesday.

This morning after we had our karakia with room Ten, Whaea Lorraine was telling us what we will be doing today. The first thing we had to do this morning was to do our work until 10:00. Around 9 we had to go to the mobile library bus and get a new book to read for the rest of this week and when we come back from the 2-week holiday. Which we got back to class where Lorraine was telling us we have 20 minutes to do any work that isn’t done, and at 10:00 we had to stop and clean up to make the Weet-Bix slices.

After that we had to get into a group of five, and in my group I had 3 year 7s and 2 year 8s. and everyone had to put part into the making part. We had to put all the ingredients into a big bag because we didn’t have any bowls, and it’s faster if you use a big bag . In my group I had Pita, Veni, Bella, and Trinity, and lastly me.

Everyone had to put part into making the Weet-Bix slices. The first step was to put 4 Weet-Bix into the bag, then after that you will have to put one cup of flour, then 1 and a cup of white sugar, then one tablespoon of cocoa powder, and then after that you will have to mix everything together. Once everything is mixed, you will have to go to Whaea Lorraine and ask her for the butter, and she will give you the butter to put in the cup for it to melt. We put the butter in the microwave for one minute or until it’s melted. Once the butter is melted, we will have to wait until the butter is cool to go into the bag. Before you add the butter into the bag, you will have to put half a teaspoon of vanilla essence, then add the butter into the bag, and mix everything together.

After that we had to go to clean up the table and the mess we had made with the flour and sugar and all the other stuff, which we have done the cleaning up. We had to go eat morning tea and go play, but we had to be back when the bell rings. When we came into the classroom, we had to go on our Chromebooks and find a video of how to make a paper bag to hold 3 or 4 pieces of the Weet-Bix slices.

Here’s the video I watched to make a paper bag.

After that we had to clean our mess up while Wheae Lorraine cooked our Weetbix slices. When we were making our Weetbix slices and we were done in like 10 minutes, mostly everyone had done the same paper bag. When we were making our bag, we could smell the Weet-Bix slices. The whole hall was smelling like Weet-Bix slices, and Whaea Lorraine said it was left in the oven for too long, and everyone was upset. But Whaea Lorraine, for next time, we will put it in the oven for 10 minutes because we put the Weet-Bix slices in the oven for 20 minutes. Whaea Lorraine forgot the icing sugar, so we couldn’t make our sugar.

But overall the baking was great, but we all have to put part into baking and mixing everything together. I think next time we will find some people who won’t fight with each other and aren’t doing the right thing. And the baking was only for P, which is for practice, but the food tasted flavorful.

  • 4 Weetbix, crushed

  • 1 and a half desiccated coconuts
  • 4 tsp cocoa powder

Today I will be blogging  about my Personal Narrtive, which is  a thing we had to do for our school, We got told we were going to do it half way through the team and we had to plan it out on a piece of paper, we had to use the marker’s , I use the pens for the whole thing, Before we started drawing on the paper w head to plan on a doc. All we had to do was to add  the stuff we wanted to put on. here is  some of my stuff I put on my doc.

  • Personal pepeha / School Pepeha
  • Images

Images about, Family, Baby, Culture, About me, Happy photos. My photos from now and then,

  • Happiest moment in my life
  • My whanau
  •   Culture
  • How im I going to present it / What to say
  • Favourite things to do
  • My life so far
  • What’s in my name
  • What my name means
  • My special talent
  • My goal for the future
  • Im presenting it on canva
  • Favourite  Food
  • Timeline

Things I Need For the Project

  • corflute sheets
  •  Blue Paint
  • Display Boards

Onece you have done the planing you will have to explan what you are kinda gonna do, Then you will  have to tell Lorraine what you need and she will get it for you the next day. After that you have to start painting your board if you want to and if you don’t then you can just put all your paper onto the to board.

Here it is

This is the week after when we had to display it for everyone to comment on it and have a look at everyone’s work piece they have done.  We also had to go to most of the class’s and look at their work / Display, The class’s we went to waas Room 1 & Room 2 & Room 3 & Room 4 & Room 10.

We had to go to Room 1 frist but Room 10 was in their so we went to room 2 and their one was on the wall with their name and what their name means, Frist before you get into the class one everyone will have a piece of paper that you can write on it and put it on the person’s display.

After that We went to Room 1, Once again we all had a piece of paper but we didnt know that they had a piece of papaer for each person that you could write your feedback on, Their one’s were hanging on the string on the celling. For each person everyone’s work will be the same, Pepeha & Art & Culture & Half a face with art that was room’s 1’s display. I wrote on some of the girls and 2 or 3 boys but thats was all for room 1.

After Room 1 we went to Room 3 after that once again we got a piece of paper  to comment on their work, We had one piece of paper and we also had to write something  nice and throughtful, I commented on my little brother’s one even tho it was upside down, Half the book was upside down and the other half was the right way. I also comment on one of my friends little ssister’s display because she really put way she wanted to visted and all the places so wants  to go to, And what her name mean’s but that was all for room 3.

After Room 3 we went to room 4, Which is my favourite Because they had a piece of canvas that  they painted with culture patterns around it, It was really nice and pretty to look at it, All the canvas had their names on top of the art work, they had samon songs playing in the back round which really went well with the art piece’s   but I really liked room 4.

After Room 4 we were walking back to room 9 but room 10 was in room 9 so we went to room 10 but we only had a little bit of time, everyone had to come back into  room 10 because it was home time so we didnt have a lot of time to look at everyone’s work they did but looking at all of it was good room 10 did good but I think next time we should go early because we didnt have alot of time to look at the room 10’s one but over looking it looks good and thats all  for room 10.

What we did at Technology / Week 7

Fakkalofa Lahi Atu , Reader

( If you don’ t know what I am on about go read my other Tech post’s )

We had to make domines out of wood all we had to do was to draw on the wood and make it look like domines,

Today  I will be blogging about Tech, We Had to do our dominoes from last week we have started But all we had to do  is to draw our dots and lines, we had to do make 60 then half it which is 30 you  keep going until you get the end of the wood piece, and make 20 with the line you just gotta do a little dot with 10 and do the same on the other end of the wood, Then after you do the dots and line you have to get the piece of paper that has the dominoes and you have to draw them on your piece of wood then you have to go drill them like you have to dirll them, you had to put the piece of wood under the drill, After you drill the holes into the wood you will have to go to the cutting thing, its like where you have to cut the wood into small pieces to make it look like Domines, But when you do the cutting part it sore because you have to go fast for the dominoes to fell out of the wood, Then after that you have to sand it you have to sand the sides / front and after that you have to tell AJ and he will give you a box for your Domines then you have to start making a new one you have to keep going and going until you get 28 piece’s of domines.

Always remember Jesus loves  you ❤🔥
